The Petrel Choir of TIS in TEDA

The Petrel Choir of TIS (Tianjin International School) in TEDA (Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area), established in 2003, has won the first prize in many competitions holding by Tianjin. It also participated many kinds of large performance shows. For example, as the representative of Committee of Caring for the Next Generation, it once performed in Hong Kong and gained praise from the local people. On Children's Day in 2007, the Petrel Choir broadcasted its live performance in China CentralTelevision. In 2012, it participated the National Stars Competition and run to the final of Tianjin. From 2013 to 2016, most members of the Petrel Choir followed Mr.Zhu participating competitions and performing in many foreign countries during the four years. Such as Germany, France, Belgium, Latvia, Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Russia, Norway, Sweden and so on. It also gained prizes from the international stages and was praised a lot by the local. During the fourteen years, singers of the Petrel Choir have sang many different songs with varieties of languages like English, French, Italian, Latin, Japanese, Cantonese, Hokkien, Mongolian and so on. In July, 2016, the Petrel Choir has won the first prize of Children's chorus by three chorus songs in the 13th Beijing International Chorus Festival competition and it was also rated one of the top ten choirs by the committee.
