As we gather

Today, on my way to the studio, I was thinking about the message of this exhibition. In the tram I started realizing the noise surrounding me.

People were getting on and getting off, standing off, standing, sitting, getting on and getting off, standing, sitting, getting on and getting off. I left.

The tram arrived and left again.

Every morning we wake up and in the evening we go to sleep.

The continuity of this cycle is a significant part of our being.

This loop is present all around us, we are connected to nature, where this process evolves spontaneously. We don't usually sense it, although we are surrounded by it and a part of it.

It gives us a feeling of slowing down and peace.

Gathering, lingering, a dialogue with both humans and non-human kinds.

An everyday ritual, a rhythm holding our society together.

A community of people, talking, laughter, fights.

Collective interests, collective work, collective life.

A dialogue through which we can find new kinds of possibilities for relating and understanding.

Setting the scene for our days. Useless things that aren't as useless as we might think.

Repetitive totems offer a feeling of home, calmness, easing, expanding the fundamental meaning of a place, where these rituals take place.

Mia Milgrom a Zlata Ziborova jsou studentky na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze v ateliéru Mileny Dopitové, Intermedia I.Opakování, které se normalizuje. Setkávání, pobývání, rytmus odchodu a příchodu. Pocit zastavení - návaznosti - společnosti.Rituál, při kterém se setkáváme.Výstava pracuje s bytím, rytmem a krásou v obyčejné každodennosti. Objekty fungují jako kulisy, jako totemy opakovaného.Instalace je prolnutím s přírodními prvky, kde tyto procesy probíhají samovolně.
Skrze komunikaci s lidmi, ale i živými a neživými druhy, je možné hledat nové možnosti cítění a porozumění.As we gather rozšiřuje základní význam galerijního prostoru a posouvá jej na místo dialogu.Rutina, rituál, komunita jsou nezbytnou součástí fungování.
